Jarred (he/him) is a Black Queer Muslim born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Grand Valley State University. Now a Michigan resident, Jarred is interested in poetry, anime, and comics. He draws inspiration from Audre Lorde, Maya Angelou, and Octavia Butler, integrating their teachings into his work supporting victims and survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. Jarred's approach to healing emphasizes Black Feminist Thought and Afro-futurism, transforming racialized and gendered harm into pathways for liberation and self-determination.
